Good Shepherd Day Care is seeking mature, responsible, engaging and self-motivated individuals with good decision-making skills; problem-solving skills; and strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
The Candidate should feel comfortable working in an environment with children aged 4-12. Be expected to be working independently majority of the time but might be asked to assist in classrooms occasionally. Training will be provided to successful applicants prior to start of work placement.
Qualifications
- 18-30 years old
- Able to work independently and in a team
- Self-motivated, creative, and organized
- Planning and time management skills
- Competency in knowledge of MS Office applications including word processing softwares, excel, data entry, spreadsheets, and document formatting
- Competency in knowledge of Google Suites applications: Google Drive, Docs, Sheets, etc.
- Familiar with common office appliances (printer, shredder, scanner, etc.)
- Multitasking, prioritizing daily workload, and problem solving
- Strong interpersonal & communication skills
- Strong verbal and written skills
- Discretion and confidentiality
Job Description
- Assist Daycare Supervisor/Administrator in various office duties
- Maintain confidentiality and conduct oneself professionally
- Digitize and update confidential documentation and policies
- Restock PPE supplies and specific stations around the centre
- Complete various aspects of data entry as required and shredding of confidential materials
- Update the website
- Document children's program for promotion with photos and videos
- Assist other staff in classrooms on occasions with children or relieve staff breaks
- Assist with any other programming, as necessary
- Assist in cleaning and sanitizing procedures

Good Shepherd Day Care is looking for motivated, outgoing and enthusiastic Summer Camp Assistants that are engaging and energetic for our Full Day Summer Camp for children in JK – Grade 6.
Camp duration is July 4th - Sept 2nd. Prepare to start a week before the camp start date for training and preparations.
Candidates should feel comfortable working with children aged 4-12. Previous or current experience teaching and/or coaching is an asset, however not mandatory. Training will be provided to successful applicants prior to start of Summer Camp.

Job Description
- Assist daycare staff in supervising and running summer camp program
- Prepare and implement day-to-day camp tasks
- Prepare lessons
- Lead interactive sessions (group games/sports, activities, crafts) with kids
- Assist in cleaning and sanitizing procedures
